Wake Forest University School of Divinity is committed to courses of study that cultivate new voices alongside a rich theological heritage. Our innovative graduate programs explores practices suited to vocations in a variety of changing ministry contexts. The Doctor of Ministry, Master of Divinity, Master of Arts and dual degrees in Law, Education, Counseling, Bioethics and Sustainability educate ministers and practitioners who are theologically knowledgeable, pastorally skilled, and lovingly committed to all of humanity and our common home.
Master of Arts in Religion
(MA)
A focused, 10-month innovative degree program designed for those discerning their next step.
The Master of Arts is ideal for students who want deep theological engagement with practical impact. Students pursue faith leadership in a variety of settings including congregational and nonprofit leadership, public service, education, chaplaincy, and community-based organizations.

The Master of Divinity prepares faithful leaders for congregations and beyond – pastors, chaplains, advocates, educators, organizers, and institutional leaders. Through innovative interdisciplinary seminars, experiential learning, and vocational and spiritual formation students cultivate theological imagination, ethical judgement, and practical expertise needed to lead with wisdom and skill in complex and changing ministry contexts.
