  • REL 700 Theory and Method in the Study of Religion
• Experiential Learning Design Lab (6 credits)
• General Electives (24 credits)

Through the Master of Arts in Religion degree, students will learn to:

• Generate theologically informed analysis of social, cultural, political, and ecological systems
• Engage in interdisciplinary reflection on the meaning and practice of religious traditions in a pluralistic world
• Participate in collaborative design that responds to global challenges and the needs of local communities

A key feature of the program is its “Theological Design Lab,” an innovative experiential learning space that uses design thinking and a collaborative process involving students, faculty, faith leaders, professionals, and community members. The lab focuses on addressing the pressing challenges facing congregations and communities, fostering creative, theologically informed solutions to contemporary needs.
