We are proud of our student body and the diverse ways they lead communities. Every year a new group of alumni are dispatched to live out their calls to ministry. Read what alumni have to say about the School of Divinity.
Since age 13, I have had an affection for music and its ability to transcend boundaries. The School of Divinity gave me opportunities to reflect upon music’s capacity to give life to experiences even when specific words are not present.
Mamie Murphy (MDiv '14)
Religion Instructor, Salem College
Without question, the most surprising thing about my three years here at Wake Forest is the depth of relationships I was able to experience with both the faculty and my peers.
Nathan Berry (MDiv '14)
Minister, Mosaic Church
Our ministry contexts are changing. Wake Divinity helped prepare me to speak fluid language about faith for today's culture that is easily translatable by those who may have no church background.
Emily Hull McGee (MDiv '09)
Pastor, First Baptist on Fifth
The school deconstructed my judgmental theology and helped me to build a theology based on love and compassion. Now, in ministry, I challenge young people to think critically, be open to new insights, and respect different beliefs.
Tiont Williams (MDiv ’11)
Youth Coordinator, Northminster Church
