Speaker Release and Agreement

I, the Speaker, give the Wake Forest University School of Divinity (“WFUSD”) permission to (1) to take photographs and to record the presentation, lecture, or engagement in audio-visual, or other media (the “Recording); (2) to display edit, duplicate, and distribute the Recording, in perpetuity and in any medium now known or later developed, and hereby release WFUSD from any and all claims or liabilities that may arise from any broadcast, publication, or transmission; and (3) to use my name, title, image, and likeness in connection with the Recording and any accompanying materials.

I understand and agree that WFUSD makes no warranties or promises and is not responsible for any unauthorized use of my presentation, lecture, or engagement. I certify that the content of my presentation is not defamatory and, to the best of my knowledge, does not violate the rights of any third party. I certify that materials of any third party that accompany my presentation or are embedded within my presentation have been identified to WFUSD in the appropriate section below and that I have advised WFUSD of any copyright or other legal issues associated with any third-party materials.

I understand that WFUSD will solely own all copyrights in the Recording(s), and I will continue to own copyright to my original content within the presentation. WFUSD acknowledges that this agreement does not grant WFUSD ownership of the content contained within the presentation.

Upon Speaker’s request, WFUSD shall provide Speaker with one (1) copy of any recording or photograph that WFUSD broadcasts, publishes, or transmits to the University community or general public.
