Yes. All sessions Tuesday, August 20 through Thursday, August 22 require your attendance and participation. If you are a GHD, please let us know and we can work with your residence life training schedule.

What do I wear to Orientation?
On Day 1, dress is business casual. Remember, you’ll be taking a picture for the School’s online secured directory on Tuesday during check-in, so dress accordingly.
On Days 2 and 3, dress is casual. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Where do I park?
Please park in Lot Q (directly across the street from Wingate Hall – building no. 1). To access Lot Q: Enter campus at the Wake Forest Road gate, located off Reynolda Road and Silas Creek Parkway. Take the first left onto Allen Easley Street. Then take the first right onto Aaron Lane. Aaron Lane empties into Parking Lot Q. The School of Divinity is located in Wingate Hall, which is attached to Wait Chapel, is directly across the street from Lot Q. You can enter Wingate Hall through the double doors located in the column entryway.
PLEASE NOTE: Orientation on Wednesday and Thursday will overlap with undergrad move-in days, so parking may be harder to find. Please consult the Campus Parking Map for additional parking options (like off-campus lots A and B near Winston-Salem First Church) , and please consider arriving earlier on those days to allow time for parking.

Can I bring my family to Orientation?
No. The focus of Orientation is YOU as you prepare to join your fellow students in our Wake Div community. However, you are welcome to bring your family (spouses, partners, children) to the Celebration Dinner on Thursday night!

What is the Celebration Dinner on Thursday? Can I bring my family?
The Celebration Dinner is a time for you and your fellow students to relax and unwind after Orientation. And we believe you should enjoy this celebration with your family! You are welcome to bring members of your immediate family (spouses, partners, children) to the Celebration Dinner. (The RSVP form will be sent in the coming weeks to inquire about any dietary needs or restrictions.)
