MDiv Flex

Imagine a theological education with modern flexibility where  preparation for religious leadership is made accessible and degree completion is made possible.

Our MDiv Flex program is ideal for students who desire to work full-time while also pursuing their Master of Divinity degree. This program is structured to offer more flexible options for MDiv program completion through late afternoon, evening and weekend course times.

MDiv Flex, like our traditional MDiv program, prepares students from diverse experiences and theological perspectives for religious leadership. Through a mix of in-person, hybrid and remote learning formats, MDiv Flex students are cultivated in an educational context to become religious leaders committed to justice, reconciliation, and compassion in a variety of ministry settings.

“Wake Forest University realizes the challenges that working professionals face. Family, career, and community obligations pull us in many different directions. Professional and civic demands should not diminish one's desire to pursue theological education...MDiv Flex enables individuals at any stage of life the flexibility to make their dreams of Divinity School come true.” Jonathan L. Walton, Dean
