A Theological Approach to Sustainability

The School of Divinity was featured by Wake Forest University’s Center for Energy, Environment, and Sustainability in its February 2014 newsletter. The Center recognized the School’s commitment to sustainability in its curriculum, community life, and programs of community engagement. “The Wake Forest School of Divinity’s leadership is shaping the future of not only the communities in which its graduate students will serve, but of the wellbeing of life on the planet,” wrote the Center. The Wake Forest University Center for Energy, Environment and Sustainability (CEES) is an interdisciplinary center that aims to promote critical thinking and effective action across the fields of Renewable Energy, Social Influence, Environmental Policy, Enterprise, Environmental Markets, Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, and Human Behavior. The research and activities associated with CEES involve the synergistic efforts of academics, researchers, public officials, and private individuals across multiple disciplines and sectors.
