Service/Resource Description
Learning Assistance Center The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) provides study skills training and counseling.  Students can learn to read critically, take notes effectively, manage their time, improve their motivation, increase their reading speed, and prepare for tests. Assistance is provided through counseling and individual and group tutoring. Students with a wide range of learning and other documented disabilities may also receive academic support, training, and advocacy through the Learning Assistance Center.
Information Desk The Information Desk is located on the third level of the Benson Center, to the right of the main entrance doors. A staff member is available to provide campus and Winston‑Salem information, including discounted tickets to many events (sports, arts, entertainment), campus event information, etc. (336-758-5255)
Events Calendar The University Calendar includes a variety of events, from school specific events (including the School of Divinity), to arts and education, music and entertainment, sports and recreation, social functions, service opportunities, and student organization activities.
WFDD (88.5 FM) Housed on the WFU Campus, WFDD is a member of National Public Radio (NPR) and broadcasts twenty‑four hours a day, 365 days a year to the Triad region.
WAKE Radio Located in Room 512 of the Benson Center, WAKE Radio is a atudent‑run radio station that plays popular, college‑list music and announcements twenty‑four hours per day.
Old Gold & Black Wake Forest’s weekly student newspaper, is located in Room 518 of the Benson Center. It is distributed every Thursday during the school year in the Benson Center, the post office, as well as other sites in academic buildings.
Barber Shop Located in Taylor House on the lower level with entrance off of the parking lot across from Brendle Hall. Appointments are advised, but walk-ins are always welcome. (336-758-2443)
Bookstore Located in Taylor House on the Quad side. Offering school and office supplies, books, magazines, newspapers, Starbucks Coffee, gifts, greeting cards, fresh flowers, balloons, student living items, and textbooks, which are located on the lower level. (336-758-5145)
Copy Center A copy center is located on the third floor of the Benson Center that is a fully equipped production facility offering a wide variety of professional services to the entire campus community. Organizations and departments can be direct billed or you may pay by cash, check, credit card or Deacon Dollars. Same day service on most jobs. They offer free delivery and will match any written quote.
Original Deacon Shop Located on the Quad side of Kitchin House. Offering Wake Forest emblematic merchandise, including caps and clothing, glassware, jewelry, and gifts. (336-758-5606)
The Bridge Help Desk (Information Systems) Located in the Z. Smith Reynolds Library, The Bridge Help Desk provides assistance in accessing campus technology and electronic resources. It is open 8:00am – 1:00am during the academic year (except for breaks and holidays). (336.758.4357)
Meeting Rooms Student organizations may reserve a variety of spaces on campus. Private dining rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, and other meeting facilities may be reserved by consulting the following:

USPS Post Office Located on the first floor of Benson University Center is a full‑service contract mailing office, observing all national holidays. Students may buy stamps, postcards and money orders, as well as certify, insure, register, and send overnight mail and packages. Students can also rent post office boxes to receive mail.  (336-758-4449)
Deacon One Card Located in Alumni Hall, the Deacon OneCard Office provides initial and replacement University ID cards. Students also should report campus vending problems or suggestions to this office. (336-758-7777)
