Public Theology Programs
The Divinity School of Wake Forest University is committed to using the resources of theological education and reflection for the benefit of the community. The Public Theology program is designed to bring together the church, community, and academy through special lectures, workshops, conferences, and other events.
This is part of our new Comenius Scholar program, which is named for John Amos Comenius [PDF], the 17th century Moravian bishop, educator, ecumenist, and social reformer. Comenius exemplifies the Public Theology program's goal of bringing theology into the public square. The Comenius Scholar, Dr. Craig D. Atwood, works jointly for Wake Forest and Home Moravian Church as an educator, writer, and director of the Public Theology program.
The following events are open to the public. If you would like to be informed regularly of the public theology programs of the Divinity School please follow the link: http://lists.wfu.edu/mailman/listinfo/comenius or send an email to comenius@lists.wfu.edu.
You may contact Craig Atwood directly at atwoodcd@wfu.edu.
