Meet your 2016 New Student Orientation Coordinators:
Amanda is a second-year student who is forever grateful for the hospitality of Wake Divinity! Self-identifying as a “recovering know-it-all”, Amanda is thankful for the stretching (and often refreshing) conversations amongst the ecumenical community of Wake Div. She is an alumna of N.C. State University and grew up in Charlotte, NC. In her free time Amanda loves to be outdoors, play frisbee, and participate in Wake Div Intramurals. She is almost a 50/50 balance of extrovert and introvert, enjoying time with friends as well as quiet afternoons with a good book.
If there was anything that she thinks is essential to know before you begin this journey it would be the importance of listening to the thoughts and stories of others, especially those with whom you disagree or are different from you.
Demi is a third-year student who is beyond excited to welcome you to the Wake Div community. She decided to study at Wake Divinity because of its commitment to diversity and inclusion. As a student, she appreciates the heart-felt and genuine support that makes it possible to thrive academically. Demi enjoys “word-crafting” and lyric writing. She spends the majority of her free time recording hip-hop music and performing as a freelance spoken-word artist. Demi is an alumna of Pepperdine University and originally hails from Upper Marlboro, MD.
If there was anything that she thinks is essential to know before you begin this journey it is that perspective is always key and good time management is your best friend.
