Faith Works: Fostering Community and Inclusion
A Presentation by Reverend William A. Lawson
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
James 2:26
A civil rights icon from Houston – the Rev. William Alexander Lawson is one of the country’s most influential champions of community service and inclusion. Lawson marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., helped desegregate the public schools in Houston, and was an architect of the national education program for disadvantaged youth – Upward Bound. Don’t miss his talk as he shows how faith with works can build communities.
