Immerse Yourself into a New Context

Published: December 19, 2012

Over the Winter Break we will not have any bloggers. However, you still have the opportunity to stay connected to the community as our students travel abroad.

One of the School of Divinity’s guiding principles is to encourage global perspectives. Through theological reflection, critical inquiry, and ministry formation, the divinity school encourages students to explore diverse religious, cultural, and ethnic perspectives within both national and international contexts. To accomplish this aim, the School highlights in its curriculum each year courses that include a travel component. Over winter break, students will be travelling to Appalachia, Nicaragua, and India.

Immerse yourself into one of these trips by following students on their travels as they blog and post about their experiences and discoveries.

Appalachia: Fierce Landscapes 2013

Nicaragua: Global Health and Cross-Disciplinary Development

India: Christianity and Indian Culture

From all of us at the School of Divinity, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
